GATE 2014 Exam Notification

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all India examination administered and conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technology that are listed below on behalf of the National Coordination Board - GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.

The GATE committee, which comprises of representatives from the administering institutes, is the sole authority for regulating the examination and declaring the results.

Notification for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2014 exam in the official website of GATE at http://gate.iitkgp.ac.in/.

GATE 2014 examinations will be held on Saturday and Sunday between 1st February 2014 and 2nd March 2014. Though, the exams will be conducted during forenoon and afternoon on alternate weekends but for some of the papers in GATE 2014, the examinations will be held in multiple sessions.

AICTE COMMON MANAGEMENT ADMISSION TEST (CMAT)- 2014-15

(a) AICTE conducts National level Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) twice a year for facilitating institutions to select suitable students for admission in all management programmes approved by AICTE.

(b) AICTE has now decided to conduct CMAT in Foreign Countries for facilitating eligible NRIs/PIOs and foreign nationals to appear in CMAT for seeking admission in institutions in India following CMAT merit list for 2014-15 under special provisions defined in AICTE Approval Process and against all vacancies left after completion of centralized admission in management institutions.

(c) The notification is issued to announce the schedule for conducting First Test of Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) for admission for academic year 2014-15. 

(d) The candidates will be given two opportunities to appear in CMAT; first in September, 2013 and Second in February, 2014. The better of two scores will be used for admission for 2014-15.

The fellowships are for one to two years.

Grant Benefits

The fellowship will provide the following benefits:

• Round-trip economy class air travel from fellow's home city to the host institution in the U.S.;
• Funding for tuition and fees,* living and related costs; and 
• Accident and Sickness Program for Exchanges per U.S. Government guidelines.
